13 Members Of FL Drug Trafficking Ring Face Charges: Pasco Sheriff (2024)

The drug trafficking ring distributed cocaine and methamphetamine in Pasco and Pinellas counties, investigators said.

As of Wednesday morning, 12 of the suspects had been arrested, Roger Handberg, U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Florida, said during a news conference.

The investigation started after a parcel of cocaine mailed from Puerto Rico was intercepted by the U.S. Postal Service, David Walker, special agent in charge with the FBI, said.

After this, additional drugs were found during traffic stops and bought by undercover officers, according to Handberg.

More than a kilogram of meth and more than a kilogram of cocaine were seized during the investigation, as well as several firearms.

Of the drug ring’s 13 members, seven are related to its leader, Daniel Carrillo, including his mother and his significant other, authorities said.

The following individuals face charges related to the investigation, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release:

• Daniel Carrillo, 35, of Weeki Wachee, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of cocaine and three counts of distribution of cocaine
• Yoned Onil Santana Vazquez, 18 of Hudson, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and one count of distribution of cocaine
• Georgelys Natal Vazquez, 27 of Hudson, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and one count of distribution of cocaine
• Lucy Carrillo Gonzalez, 60, of Port Richey, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and one count of distribution of cocaine
• Jacqueline Navarro, 53, of Port Richey, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of cocaine, five counts of distribution of cocaine, and one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine
• Betsy Luz Trinidad, 32, of Weeki Wachee, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of cocaine, and four counts of distribution of cocaine
• Rolando Alvarez Canete, 40, of Holiday, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and one count of distribution of cocaine
• Kevin Valdez, 33, of Port Richey, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine
• Victor Hernandez Jr., 24, of Port Richey, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine
• John Patrick Barrett, 57, of Port Richey, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, and one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine
• Jennifer Hanna, 51, of Hudson, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, and two counts of distribution of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine
• Johan Eloy Del Valle Carrillo, 41, of Puerto Rico, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and one count of attempted distribution of cocaine
• James Perry O'Neal, 29, of Clearwater, charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine
