From the moment we were picked up from our hotel we were looked after with efficiency and cheerfulness. The boat is immaculate, the food fantastic , the rooms extremely comfortable with really large floor to ceiling windows, the events great fun and the staff polite and helpful. A memorable tour which we’d definitely recommend.

We took the overnighter stay onboard Genesis. The boat was exquisitely beautiful and so well maintained. We reached the boat deck half hour early. The town is so quaint and beautiful so we walked around for a bit and had coconut water till it was time to board the ship. A small. Boat transferred us to the big one and during the transfer one of the staff whose name was Sunny was so friendly and explained about the boat and Halong bay. The boat itself was exquisitely beautiful and so well maintained. The rooms were amazing with big windows so the scenery can be seen while we are cruising. The food was also amazing and so tasty. Overall a very good and memorable experience.

Amazing cruise from start to finish. The van is amazing and comfortable and the drive was pleasant. I read a review the driver doesn’t speak English but this is not a concern for us as we saw the beauty of the countryside in peace and comfort. From the delivery to the boat until disembarking all the staff could not do enough to make sure you were comfortable and enjoying your stay. The food was amazing and the wines we tried were Devine. A little pricey but we expected it so I am not complaining. Our room was immaculate and the views could not be beaten. Activities were very well organised and you had time to savour and enjoy the moments while doing the activities. All in all this is a must do activity for any Vietnam holiday as the experience of nature and pampering on the boat could not be matched. I hope to be back one day!!!

The staff were great Leo looked after us, and they were great with the kids. The food is delicious, the cabins are comfortable. Swimming and Kayaking, with Island adventures in between. Waking up on Halong bay, with the sun coming out from behind the rocky outcrops was great.

This was by far the highlight of my trip!!!!!Highly recommend doing this, it was excellentThe staff were amazing and so happy to cater for everyone, the boat was exceptional, there was always something to do and the room was beautiful, the views were truely amazingNice modern ship, food was always amazing and activities were really enjoyable.The only thing is I wish I had of booked two nights instead of one to make the most of itI loved the fact it was a big ship with limited number of people so it was never crowded on boardHope to do this again

Amazing experience from the start of our pickup from the hotel and return transfer. I celebrated my mum birthday on the cruise. I had informed them during booking of my trip and that it was my mums birthday without reminding them. Our Attendant Ms Sara was amazing as she hosted balloons and a cake for my mum. I felt so touched and sweet of them to do such a thing without reminding them. The food on the cruise was just enough and delicious.

We had a fantastic time on our one-night cruise. The boat, staff, food and cleanliness was 10/10. The schedule was very well run and organised. I'm not sure why there are negative reviews about the bay being polluted with rubbish - we did not see this. My only regret is we didn't book two nights.

If you only have a full day in Phong Nga this is a great way to spend it, if you have longer this is a great introduction to 2 incredible cave systems. The tour - Phong Nga Cave & Paradise Cave Day Tour by Phongnga Discovery was great, ran to plan from pick up to drop off. Starting at Paradise Cave (a dry cave) from the drop off point there’s a walk up to the entry point of the cave and then you descend into the interior for about 1 km. The Amphitheatres up to 80 metres high and 120 metre wide were great as were the enormous stalactites and stalagmites, incredible size, shape and configuration. Plenty of time to walk in and out with out rushing, next stop a generous Traditional Vietnamese lunch then back into town for the 30 min Dragon Boat ride to Phong Nha Cave (wet / river cave). The boat travels into the cave about 1 km then back out to a point to allow you to exit the cave through more incredible stalactites with a 300 metre walk in cave, the boat trip up into the cave was great, limited noise and just a million years of rock formation, the walk was equally impressive with massive stalactites and stalagmites, formed in incredible shapes and configuration. Very enjoyable day suitable for a wide range of ages our tour ranged from 12 to 60 something.A couple of days later we followed this up with the Kayak - Hiking - Swimming Tour with Phong Nga - Ke Bang Tourism centre which allows you to go a bit deeper (in the dark with headlamps, do some rock hoping and swim in the fresh cool cave water, highly recommend if you have another day. Take your photos the first day and enjoy the surrounding nature and quiet the second with only limited addition snaps required.

Amazing service from booking onwards. Staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable. The boat itself is clean and spacious. Our cabin was wonderful, with a full width window looking out onto our private balcony. The food and waiter service is fantastic and plentiful. It would put most restaurants to shame. The excursions from the main boat are perfect for the time spent on board. Even the nighttime squid fishing (no one was successful 😊). It shows Vietnam in its best light.

The cruise boat itself was lovely. Very good meals provided and luxury accommodation, the drinks pricey. Ha Long Bay however is nothing special. Murky waters and pollution disappointing to say the least. Not inviting to swim in and minimal time to spend on the water exploring.

We were actually upgraded at the last minute as we initially booked the Mon Cherie Cruise (Copying Travel Vloggers, Sammy and Tommy). Our room ended up being in the Executive Room with Private Balcony on the second floor and we could not be any happier. The cruise was as luxurious as can be. Our Cruise Manager, Cherry, was so attentive to our needs and I even connected with her on traditional Vietnamese songs that I grew up listening to in the states. Gin, Andrew, and everyone else who were servicing the cruise were so kind and provided the utmost respectful service we have experienced. Tuan was our tour guide to Cat Ba island as I enjoyed conversing with him about life in Vietnam and the history of the Ha Long (In Vietnamese, that translate to Descending Dragon). Genuinely, I wish the cruise could go for another day because the experience itself was well worth it. Highly Recommend!Best advice: Drinks are a little hefty as compared to the rest of Vietnam - Wait out for locals rowing their boats nearby to purchase 100,000 Dong (about $5 USD) for 3 beers. Additionally, the cruise does periodic happy hour where everything is buy one, get one free. Stock up there :D

We had an absolutely brilliant time on the 2 night cruise. From the moment we stepped on David looked after us. It was our honeymoon so they went the extra mile to decorate our bed and for dinner the first night we had a special romantic table and were serenaded. David was very attentive and made sure we had a really memorable time. Other highlights were the never ending 5 star food, kayaking through the caves, cooking demonstration and morning Thai Chi sessions lead by cruise manager Huang (Elvis). Huang is super professional and also keeps it entertaining the perfect balance. The happy hour co*cktails were a treat overlooking the beautiful sunset. We will definitely be recommending Peony cruises as their staff were second to none. Do the 2 nights you won’t regret it!!

We have just finished a two night cruise with this company it truly was an amazing experience absolutely beautiful..Great co*cktails (made by Mr Bobby) !! The food just never stops had a ten course meal for dinner..Super impressive..Thankyou goes to Sam and Son..Your both the best Can’t really say how good this was..Four old girls from Australia just havin a ball..Thankyou to all the staff especially the guys that got us in and out of the kayak..!!! HahahahFun times..

Absolutely wonderful cruise. The room and amenities are amazing and you can really relax. The food is lovely, breakfast and lunch buffet, and five course meal for dinner, all included. Be careful you may end up paying a lot on drinks, because they are so good too. The activities proposed include cooking class, fishing swimming, kayak and a day tour with bicycle riding (or electric car) and discovery of people's life on Cat Ba island. The staff is incredible, so friendly professional and helpful. Our manager was Cherry, and main staff were Gin and Andrew.
