Wondering what to pack for Walt Disney World? We’re sharing the ultimate Disney World packing list, with a free printable that will allow you to check off everything you need to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Planning for a Disney World vacation? 2024 is an especially exciting year to go. This year will bring plenty of changes, including the return of all-day park hopping, the Disney Dining Plan, and new attractions such as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. And when it comes time to pack for your vacation, we’re here to help! We’ve created the ultimate Disney World packing list in a printable format that you can check off as you go.

Travel Day Supplies

Whether you’re flying or driving to Disney World, these are some of the travel-day supplies you’ll want to consider bringing with you:

  • Travel Bag: Separate out travel day supplies into a separate bag so it doesn’t get lost or accidentally put in with other bags.
  • Travel outfit: Wear Wcomfy clothes for the car/plane ride
  • Neck pillow or blanket for optimal comfort, especially on the plane
  • Headphones
  • Activities: Phone games, tablet, book, etc
  • Motion sickness or anxiety meds: Listed this separately from our toiletries section below because you’ll need these handy in your travel bag
  • Paperwork: Passports and any other information you may need, depending on where you are traveling from.
  • Travel Home Things: We’re sorry to bring this up, but you’ll have a travel day HOME at the end of your vacation. Make sure you have fresh travel clothes and activities to ease the pain of leaving Disney.

Essentials

There are certain essentials (both hard copies and on the phone) that you’ll want to make sure to have with you when traveling to Disney World.

  • My Disney Experience App: This app can do everything from store your dinner reservations to open your Disney resort room door. Make sure you have it on all adult phones and that it is updated to the latest version.
  • Tickets
  • Luggage tags
  • Travel Agent ContactItinerary: Most of this ay be is on your My Disney Experience App, but you’ll still need arrival times if you’ve got flights to catch or activities outside of Disney World
  • Crowd Calendar: Day-to-day reminders of park events and crowd levels
  • Confirmation numbers: Get confirmation numbers for everything! Dig around in your email and make sure you have all the numbers for reservations.
  • Passport or State ID
  • Debit Card and Emergency Credit Card: Sometimes banks can put a hold on your debit card if they think out-of-state activity looks suspicious. Call your bank ahead of time to let them know you’re traveling, and bring an emergency credit card with you just in case

Tech Packing List for Disney

Disney requires certain technology you’ll want to make sure to bring with you. With Genie+ and My Disney Experience, you’ll find much of your planning takes place on your phone. For that reason, make sure to bring extra chargers, or go ahead and pack a FuelRod!

  • Camera
  • Camera Case: Something padded to protect from everything else in the day bag
  • Camera Charger
  • Phone Chargers
  • Tablet/Nintendo Switch
  • Chargers for all gamepads

Medicine and Toiletries Checklist

  • Daily Vitamins: Use a vitaminorganizer to keep things tidy
  • Shampoo/Conditioner/Lotion/Bodywash: These are provided by resorts, but you may want to bring your own due to an allergy or brand preference
  • Deodorant
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Tweezers
  • Nail clippers
  • Sunblock: Make sure to bring a regular size and travel size to reapply throughout the day.
  • Moleskin: Will help with blisters!
  • Prescription medications: Bring these in their original prescription bottles
  • First-Aid Kit: A small one with Band-Aids will do. Resorts and Parks have First Aid personnel ready to help.
  • CHECK: Are all liquids travel-sized? (3.4 oz bottle or less for air travel)

Clothing

  • Rain jacket or raincoat: Don’t get caught having to pick up an expensive poncho in the parks
  • Comfortable shoes: You will be walking a LOT, so comfortable shoes are key – and don’t wait until you get there to break in new shoes!
  • Comfortable clothing: While dressing for fashion can be fun, make sure to keep comfort in mind. Lots of walking and heat are involved with a Disney World trip, so don’t make yourself miserable with uncomfortable apparel.
  • Layers: Depending on when you visit, the weather may fluctuate throughout the day. Bring layers that can be taken off if the weather heats up later on in your day.
  • Bike Shorts: If you’re wearing a dress or skirt, wearing bike shorts underneath will help to prevent any chafing.

For Baby

  • Warm clothes: Jacket sweatpants and an extra blankie
  • Diaper Bag
  • Diapers
  • Swim diapers
  • Wipes
  • Bottles
  • Formula
  • Baby food
  • Baby hat
  • Socks
  • Stroller fan: Not a must-have, but if your baby gets hot easily, it’s not a bad idea

Swimwear

  • Swimsuit/trunks: Make sure they fit! If you haven’t been swimming in a while, make everyone in the house try on their suit
  • Swim shoes
  • Swim Earplugs
  • Nose plugs
  • Swim cap
  • Cover-up
  • Sunhat
  • Sunglasses
  • Swim bag
  • Sand toys: Some hotels have sand, so pack just a couple of shovels and a castle mold to avoid buying these at the gift shop

Park Day Bag

The packing doesn’t stop at home. Each day before jumping on the monorail/Skyliner/bus, you’ll need to pack up a bag for the day bag every day.

  • Hats
  • Mickey Ear
  • Water bottle
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunblock
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Camera

  • Charging battery
  • Little snacks
  • Parade blanket

Extra Magic Disney World Packing List

  • Matching shirts
  • Glowsticks: Buy a tube of a bunch of glowstick bracelets or light-up toys to avoid temptation when the glowing vendor carts come out at night at the parks
  • Bubble wand: Buy an Ariel bubble wand on Amazon or eBay ahead of time, because these are sure to catch the eye of little ones at the parks
  • Spray fan: If you’re going during a hot time of year, pack one of these to avoid buying one!
  • Souvenir surprises: Just like buying glow and bubble toys ahead of time, consider getting plush or toys to pack and have them “appear” in the room (be the last one out of the room and put them on the bed to await your return) for a surprise without the souvenir shop price tag!
