Lunar New Year

Disneyland After Dark: Disney Channel Nite (NEW)

Jump into your favorite Disney Channel shows and movies at the all-new Disney Channel Nite on March 5 & 7, 2024. The event will feature:

• “High School Musical” pep rally through the park

• “Camp Rock” karaoke and Disney Channel trivia at the Golden Horseshoe
• “Descendants” musical journey on the Rivers of America

Tickets are $139 per guest ages 3+ and go on pre-sale for Magic Key holders on December 12, 2023. General public sales begin December 14. The March 7 event is already sold out.

Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite

Join the ultimate Star Wars party packed with galactic fun on April 16, 18, 23, 25, 30 and May 2, 7, 9, 2024. The event will feature:

• Exclusive Star Wars character meet & greets
• Special Star Wars themed food and merchandise
• Ride overlays on select attractions
• Galactic dance parties and entertainment
• Unlimited PhotoPass downloads

Pricing ranges from $129 to $145 per guest ages 3+. Tickets go on sale February 21, 2024 for Magic Key holders and February 23 for the general public.

Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite

Celebrate diversity and inclusion at Pride Nite, set to return June 18 & 20, 2024 to Disneyland park. The event features:

• Live DJ dance parties
• Pride-themed cavalcade down Main Street
• Inspiring photo backdrops and unlimited PhotoPass
• Specialty menu items and merchandise
• Access to favorite attractions with shorter lines

Ticket pricing and on-sale dates for the 2024 Pride Nite are still to be determined. The 2023 event tickets were $139. For all Disneyland After Dark events, guests can typically enter the park 3 hours before the official event start time. Tickets are limited and tend to sell out quickly, so plan to purchase early when they go on sale. Check the Disneyland website for the most up-to-date information on event offerings, pricing and ticket sales.

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party

The spooktacular Oogie Boogie Bash returns to Disney California Adventure park on select nights from August 23 through October 31, 2024. This separately ticketed, after-hours event is hosted by Oogie Boogie from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

Event Details

Oogie Boogie Bash offers a variety of Halloween fun for the whole family, including:

• Immersive treat trails with Disney villains like Maleficent, the Evil Queen, and Oogie Boogie himself. Collect candy and healthy snacks along the way.
• The Frightfully Fun Parade led by the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow. See rare characters like Dr. Facilier and Jack Skellington.
• Villains Grove, a walk-through experience with eerie lighting, sound effects, and villainous scenes. Located in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
• Mickey’s Trick & Treat show with a mad scientist, video projections, and special effects. Held in the Disney Jr. Dance Party theater.
• Character meet & greets with Mickey Mouse and friends in Halloween costumes. Spot villains like Cruella, Hades, and Lady Tremaine too.
• Carthay Circle bell tower projections that bring the building to life. The Headless Horseman statue also appears on Buena Vista Street.
• Access to most park attractions with shorter wait times due to limited capacity. Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark is a must-do.
• Halloween-themed food, beverages, merchandise, and decor throughout the park. Cars Land gets a “Radiator Screams” makeover.

The party officially runs from 6pm to 11pm, but ticket holders can enter Disney California Adventure as early as 3pm (no theme park reservation required). That gives you up to 8 hours of Halloween fun!

2024 Dates & Pricing

While official 2024 Oogie Boogie Bash dates have not been announced yet, we know the event will take place on select Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights from August 23 through October 31. In 2023, there were a record 25 party nights. With Halloween Time starting earlier than ever on August 23 in 2024, it’s likely that Oogie Boogie Bash will have August dates for the first time ever. Potential early dates could be Sunday August 25, Tuesday August 27, and Thursday August 29. Ticket prices and on-sale dates for 2024 are still to be determined. In 2023, advance purchase prices ranged from $129 to $179 per person (ages 3+), depending on the date. Same-day tickets, if available, were $164 to $214. Annual Passholder presale started in late June, followed by general public sales.

Tips & Tricks

• Buy your tickets as soon as they go on sale, especially if you have a specific date in mind. The event can sell out very quickly.
• Arrive at the park entrance by 2:45pm to be among the first inside when they start admitting party guests at 3pm.
• Prioritize the treat trails, parade, Villains Grove, and any must-do character meet & greets first. Ride attractions later in the night when wait times decrease.
• Bring a treat bag to collect candy, but know that the park provides small plastic bags too. Allergy-friendly options are available upon request.
• Wear a Disney Halloween costume if you’d like – it adds to the fun! Just be sure to follow Disneyland’s costume guidelines.
• Check out the seasonal food offerings, like the Vampire Alien Macaron and Pumpkin Spice Churro. Mobile order when possible.
• Download the Disneyland app to check treat trail wait times, see the entertainment schedule, and make dining reservations.

Ride Closures and Refurbishments 2024

Here’s a list of ride closures and refubishments to be aware of before your magical Disney trip:

Main Street U.S.A.

• Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln will close for refurbishment from August 14th through September 27th, 2024.
• Main Street Cinema will be closed for refurbishment from July 5th through July 20th, 2024.
• No other refurbishments have been announced yet for Main Street U.S.A. in 2024.

Fantasyland

• Alice in Wonderland will close from July 5th through July 20th, 2024 for refurbishment.
• Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride will close from July 24th through August 11th, 2024 for refurbishment.

Tomorrowland

• Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage will be closed from January 8th, 2024 through an unannounced date for refurbishment.
• Space Mountain will be closed for a lengthy refurbishment from September 18th, 2023 through October 26th, 2023.

Frontierland

• No Frontierland refurbishments have been announced for 2024 as of yet.

New Orleans Square

• No New Orleans Square refurbishments currently scheduled for 2024.

Critter Country

• Splash Mountain closed permanently on May 31st, 2023 and will reopen as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in late 2024.

Mickey’s Toontown

• No scheduled refurbishments for Mickey’s Toontown in 2024 at this time.

Disneyland Park Attractions

• Sailing Ship Columbia will be closed from January 8th through January 11th, 2024 for refurbishment.
• Indiana Jones Adventure is scheduled to be closed November 27th through December 1st for routine maintenance.
• Incredicoaster in Disney’s California Adventure will be closed November 27th through December 1st as well.
