Free Summer Bucket List Printable & Editable (2024)

It’s summer!

Hooray!

Time for planning fun activities and making an amazing summer bucket list! I don’t know about you but if we don’t write down what we want to do during the summer, fall comes around and not much gets done! Let’s make the most of this summer and create some fun memories in the process.

You’ve got to make a summer to do list if you want to do different activities, a summer vacation or maybe even a road trip. That’s why I made this whimsical free summer bucket list printable for you and me!

It’s editable with your own text, so you don’t have to do what I want to do, you do what YOU want to do! Fill the blank list with your own ideas. Just make sure you save the file on your computer and open it with Adobe Reader to be able to change the text in the fields.

I made 2 lists, one with 20 lines and one with 10. Sometimes it’s better to only list 10 things and actually get them done than to list a bunch of items and never know where to start.

Maybe it’s just me but looking at a list of 100 things I want to do in the summer sometimes looks more like work than fun. A nice short list with only the important things is much more exciting to look at.

Other times, I just have so many fun summer bucket list ideas, I need to get them out of my head so that I don’t forget them.

A great way you can include the whole family in filling your blank summer bucket list is to ask each family member to come up with a few fun summer activities they want to add to the list. This will also help ensure that every activity preference is catered to while making memories with the entire family.

You can also encourage each child to make their own list and help them find activities that incorporate independent play. This gives you, the busy mom, a little quiet time so you can recharge and have the best summer alongside your kids.

This free printable summer bucket list is not just for families, though! Check off bucket list items and make memories with friends or a significant other. It’s not just for little kids either. Kids of all ages love filling the summer months with trips and activities. My teens LOVE to make a list of summer activities and DIY projects each year. They now look forward to making and checking off their annual summer bucket list.

So what are you going to do this summer break? Have a lemonade stand with the kids? Learn how to bake an amazing chocolate cake? Have a movie night party? Where do you want to visit? Will you travel to new places or recreate the amazing trip you took last year? The world is yours!

Don’t know what to put on it?

I have a HUGE list of 225 ideas of things to do this summer to propel your fun meter into the red zone! From crafts, projects and super easy activities to fun road trips and adventures, you’re sure to find a bunch of ideas for your own list.

Here are a few fun ideas to get your creative gears turning: make tie-dye shirts, eat root beer floats, do crafts with hula hoops, buy and play with a splash pad, go for a family bike ride, have a water balloon fight, create a bird feeder, do a science experiment, play with sidewalk chalk, complete a scavenger hunt, etc.

I know what you’re thinking. “Wait, just a few paragraphs ago you said it was better to have a short list rather than a longer one. What are you thinking??” I haven’t lost my marbles. These are ideas, possibilities, options. Look for the ones that really appeal to you and add them to your own bucket list.

And then go, explore, create. And have a blast this summer!
