On the set of her first-ever Vogue shoot at Pier 59 in Chelsea, the reality star turned model is more than ready to take on the season’s most fashion-forward party looks, an occasion that calls for a bit of transformation. “Normally the way I dress is more street style, but this was so sophisticated and powerful,” said Woods, whose athleisure designs have become the stuff of Instagram legend. “It was kind of an elevated version of me.” Woods, 20, is a familiar face to anyone who has turned on E! in the last decade, a recurring presence on the ongoing slate of Kardashian-themed reality shows. She made her New York Fashion Week debut last season at Chromat’s Spring 2018 show in a sultry denim look that drew applause from the front row, then unveiled her capsule collection for Addition Elle down the runway just a few days later. And at a time when the traditional supermodel trajectory seems increasingly antiquated, Woods doesn’t mind if her career helps to break the mold, especially if it means opening the door for others. “I’m a curvy, ethnic girl and I’m shooting with Vogue,” she says. “I want people to see and feel like, ‘If Jordyn can do it, I can do it too.’ ”
