The Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC gives the reigns to players once more to explore the realm of shadows. Along with a new region come new enemies, new bosses and NPCs, as well as new weapons and armor sets.
One of the more beautiful sets added to the game is the Black Knight Armor set, which is different from the Black Knight armor set in Dark Souls, though it has similar esthetics. The good news is that players can get this beautiful armor fairly early during their venture into the Shadow Realm.
Black Knight Armor Set Overview: Pieces & Stats
In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree , the Black Knight armor set is made up of four pieces: the Black Knight Armor,
Black Knight Gauntlets , Black Knight Greaves, and Black Knight Helm. When all four pieces are equipped, the Black Knight set weight is 32.7, making it a decent option for a medium load build.
The Black Knight set fits the goth theme, with a wonderfully dark appearance. While the armor doesn't have any particular strengths, it's worth checking out for the aesthetics alone. All the pieces have the same in game description:
Gauntlets/Greaves/Helm worn by the Black Knights, servants of
Messmer the Impaler . Black iron ornamented with gold. A rotten odor stubbornly clings to it.
Perhaps it arises from the tainted nature of the blood that splattered upon it. Or perhaps it is the wearer's own blackened soul, festering after endless slaughter.

Armor worn by Black Knights, servants of Messmer the Impaler.
Though the engraving above the heart is a Scadutree design, it is etched in gold. A small consolation for those forced to wage a war without grace or honor.

Where To Find Black Knight Armor Set Location

To get the Black Knight in Shadow of the Erdtree, you must kill the Black Knights roaming the world. These can be found in most Messmer Soldier encampments, and can be farmed for their armor. They are tough enemies for players new to the DLC, but their moves can be easily dodged once you get familiar with them.
The earliest location where players can farm the Black Knight is the Castle Front site of grace. Fast travel there, turn back, and go to the second encampment on the right. There is a Black Knight armor, along with two normal soldiers holding flaming spears. This enemy can be easily backstabbed, making him a great target for farming.
The second location is the next site of grace that comes after Castle Front, Castle Ensis Checkpoint. Here, players will get to fight the Black Knight one on one, and he can also be backstabbed. The rate of drops for the items can be increased by speccing into Arcane, equipping the Silver Beetle Talisman, and using certain items that enhance discovery. Black Knight Armor (Body Piece) has the lowest drop rate out of the lot.
