As you may already know, Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is full of nutritional benefits. Did you know it is also an excellent marinade for your favorite lean proteins? ACV acts as a tenderizer as well making it ideal for grilling. Our go-to is Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar.

This zesty marinade and recipe is perfect for making grilled chicken tenders or chicken breasts. I’ve even used this on turkey breasts and lean cuts of pork for delicious flavor. There are no limits to how this easy marinade can be used for grilling this year!

How to Grill Chicken Breasts for Meal Prep

Next time you’re doing your weekly food prep, you may want to add this recipe to the mix. One of the absolute best parts of this recipe is that it is so versatile. While it has a great flavor, that flavor works well in salads, wraps, sandwiches, or just to have alongside grilled veggies. Below are some tips to make it easier than ever to accomplish.

  • Use thin sliced chicken breasts or chicken tenders for even cooking
  • When buying chicken in bulk, add the marinade to the bag you plan to freeze the chicken in for future use. Once it thaws in the refrigerator overnight, it will already be packed with flavor and ready to toss on the grill.
  • Cook several pounds of chicken on the same day then allow to cool before adding to portion sized bags for the freezer. Label these well and grab one out for a simple last minute wrap or meal on busy evenings.

Ingredients for Apple Cider Vinegar Marinade

This recipe calls for only a few ingredients: chicken (of course!), Apple Cider Vinegar, minced garlic, and Weber Grill Seasoning – Chicago Steak. We know what you are thinking but the blend of spices in this marinade is ideal for many types of meat, not just steaks.

Tip: When marinading any meat in a plastic bag, place the bag in a bowl or on a plate. Just in case the bag leaks, you will have protected your refrigerator from contamination. When marinading a bulk amount of chicken or pork, you can put the marinade and meat into any container that has a lid, and simply seal it and put into the refrigerator until ready.

Loved this! Quick, simple, and the chicken turned out really moist. Thanks for posting 🙂

WOW! I made this for dinner today and it was fantastic! The chicken was super moist! Thank you so much for all your amazing recipes! 🙂

Since all that has been added is a marinade you should be fine to bake or broil them however long and at whatever temperature you normally would do for the amount of chicken you’re making. I like to make 2 bone-in breasts for 45 min. on a broiler pan at 425 F. Flip once in the middle for more even cooking. For boneless you probably only need about 30 minutes.

This chicken is AMAZING. I make it 1-2 breasts at a time and just do them on the George Foreman. The vinegar makes it so tender and the “steak” seasoning makes it!! Thanks so much for sharing. I was dying for a “clean” marinade and this works perfectly!
